Papers [manuscript]. 1978.

Papers relating to Karobran: the story of an Aboriginal girl, which was published posthumously in 1978. Clare wrote the original manuscript, but died before completing final editing. Jack Horner and Mona Brand undertook editing and publication of the book, under a grant from the Aboriginal Arts Board of the Australia Council. Included is a carbon copy of the original manuscript, and a typescript incorporating Horner's amendments.

Monica Clare was born in Dareel QLD in 1924. Her father was an Aboriginal shearer and her mother was English.
